Biography
Dr. Brittany Davis, LCSWA is an Assistant Professor in the online Master of Social Work program at ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø.  Dr. Davis obtained her PhD in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. She obtained her MSW degree from the University of Michigan with a focus in Community Organization with Children, Youth, and Families. Her research interests include equitable development strategies for historically low-income communities of color, bridging homeownership disparities among residents of color, the sociocultural impacts of gentrification on Black communities, and anti-racist social work pedagogy. Her experiences in the field of social work include working with children and families with a history of child abuse and neglect, serving as a children’s crisis counselor, providing community services at a public housing site, providing counseling for youth and families involved with the juvenile justice system, serving as a workforce development specialist, serving as a licensed clinical social worker associate, and providing case management services to homeless students and their families. She has also served as a social work field supervisor for MSW and BSW students. Additionally, she has taught a wide range of MSW and BSW courses for multiple universities.Â
